The DitMac Olympiad was created in the summer of 1996 by Greg McIntyre and Darin Ditmar (hence the name "DitMac"). This idea was conceived from the desire to keep in touch with old friends and to meet new friends. Then we added some food and games, and the rest is history!! This is also how Darin and Greg came up with the Olympiad motto "Iendsfray, Oodfay, Amesgay".
The official logo (above) of the DitMac Olympiad consists of five interlocking squares, using the colors blue, black, red, yellow, and green. Darin and Greg also developed this symbol. The five squares represent the five events involved in the first DitMac Olympic Games in 1996: Mexican Horseshoes, Darts, Homerun Derby, Jenga, and Bowling. The Olympic banner consists of the five squares on a white background. The colors were chosen from the flags of the countries involved in the Games; every nation has at least one of these colors in its flag.
