DitMac
Olympiad IV

August 7, 1999

The fourth DitMac Olympiad was the same size (team wise, 16) as the first DitMac games, and this was a good thing. The day was much shorter and we did not run out of food like we did last year. A continental breakfast served before the games bolstered those in need of sustenance. This is the first year breakfast was available.

By allowing only the people who arrived on time (before 9:30 a.m.) to compete in the games, we were able to start the opening ceremonies on time!! We also had two Jenga venues up and running all day, so that helped keep everyone on schedule.

The weather was cooperative, not too hot, not too cool (75 degrees with a slight breeze), and the new window screens in the Homerun Derby venue kept the temperature inside the house at a comfortable level.
