When the first Olympiad was announced to Kim Ditmar (Darin's loving wife) she thought it was the dumbest thing she had EVER heard. During the months of planning, Kim gave her support (half-heartedly). However, once the Olympiad came and went, and even though Algeria did not win any medals (they did do better than Kenya), Kim agreed that the Olympiad was a good thing!! Also, as you can see, the logo was crude and not very refined but it was the very first draft (the NEW logo is much cleaner). Also, even though it was a blazing hot day (82 degrees with hardly any wind) the games went well and everyone (including Kim) in attendance had a great time!
